My practice concentration is in cases before the Chancery Courts in Mississippi. Matters in Chancery Court include, divorce, irreconcilable divorce, alimoney, child custody, child support, visitation, paternity, grandparent visitation, grandparent rights, modification, contempt, emancipation of minors, name changes, adoption, guardianship, conservatorship, termination of parental rights, contract disputes, division of retirement assets (qdro), cases involving the Department of Human Services, wills and estates. I also practice in Youth Court.
I cover a large geographic area that includes the 7th Chancery District - Bolivar, Coahoma, Leflore, Quitman, Tallahatchie and Tunica Counties, the 3rd Chancery District - Desoto, Grenada, Montgomery, Panola, Tate and Yalobusha Counties, the 18th Chancery District - Benton, Calhoun, Lafayette, Marshall and Tippah Counties, and the 1st Chancery District - Alcorn, Itawamba, Monroe, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Lee, Tishomingo and Union Counties. I do not charge for initial consultations any typically meet clients in Oxford, Batesville and Hernando.

Disputes between parents, when it comes to children, can be the most difficult matters before the Chancery Courts. Keep in mind that children have a right to love both of their parents.
If someone is not following the orders of the Court, it may be necessary to have them held in contempt, to insure future performance. If a Court order is not working or situations change, modification may be appopriate.
